Lab 2K Announces January 26 Re-Launch of Free Y2K Search Engine, www.WillItWork.com, ver. 2.0

Lab2K, L.L.C., is pleased to announce the re-release of its website www.willitwork.com. Since its initial launch on October 1, 1998, WillItWork has served as a free search engine for the contact information of thousands of vendors whose products have Year 2000 issues. Ver. 2.0 features a number of improvements that will make it more useful resource than ever before.

With a more modular design, the new site is easier to upgrade, guaranteeing future improvements. More efficient coding has improved the speed and intelligence of the search engine, yielding faster results, sorted by best match.

In the near future WillItWork plans to add new industry specific categories to its database. This, in keeping with the traditions of ver 1.0, will make the database easier to browse. The further detail will add greater utility to the site, in the context of a specialized high-tech sector.

One of WillItWork's primary goals since its inception was to become a gateway of Year 2000 information, a central forum for users seeking not only Y2K compliance information but general industry news as well. To that end, several significant additions have been made. First and foremost, a free message board has been added for any users' discussion and sharing of information. The message board serves not only as a source of daily updated information for users, but as a forum for the posting of relevant news by vendors and organizations.

The volume of information on www.willitwork.com has greatly increased with the addition of a Y2K News section, featuring links to selected relevant articles, and an Upcoming Events section featuring information regarding various Year 2000 conferences and workshops around the nation. Finally, WillItWork's links pages have been greatly improved to offer a wide range of resources from around the web. More industry-specific links will be added soon, helping the user find desired information and increasing the scope of WillItWork in general.

In the upcoming weeks, Lab 2K plans to launch a large-scale campaign to encourage vendors to post their contact information via a company entry form. With this, the database is expected to grow substantially. "In keeping with the high achievement of WillItWork , ver 2.0 has built on the strengths of our original website and introduced new features that have far surpassed our original expectations," says lead programmer Howard Wolosky. "We at Lab 2K intend to lead the way in providing critical Y2K information."
